New Patients

We understand that coming to a new dental surgery can be an anxious experience. That is why we aim to make your first visit as relaxing as possible.

New patients at NDC McCrae Street

Before attending your first appointment at National Dental Care McCrae Street, we will usually phone to remind you of your appointment.

We are usually running on time, but please bear with us if we are occasionally delayed in seeing you.

At your appointment

We always strive to give you a range of treatment options as we understand not all plans may be affordable or suitable for every patient. Once you are brought in, we will discuss what brought you to our practice, what your needs and desires are from our practice and how we can help you achieve them.

A check-up is generally given to all new patients, which may include x-rays and other diagnostic tests to aid in developing a treatment plan.

Once we have reached an agreement and a plan has been made, we will try and perform treatment on the same visit, especially if the patient is in pain. Otherwise, a written quote is given and another appointment made. We always strive to allow enough time to make each visit relaxing and unrushed.

We actively encourage patients to ask questions and take ownership over their oral health. Looking after your mouth is a long-term investment, and we are there with you every step of the journey.

Providing expert dental care for nervous patients

We understand that visiting the dentist can be an anxiety-inducing experience for some patients. That’s why we offer a range of sedation options, including nitrous oxide (happy gas) and oral sedation, to help you feel calm and relaxed during your procedure.

Our goal is to ensure that every patient feels comfortable and confident in their dental care, so that you won’t have to put off treatment due to nerves.

Please call our friendly staff to discuss how we can help you overcome your fears of the dentist so you can have your teeth examined and repaired in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
