A dazzling smile on your wedding day can be the perfect addition to this very special occasion. Whether you’re smiling for your wedding photos, saying “I do”, or happily greeting your guests, knowing your teeth are looking beautiful, white and straight can give you an extra boost of confidence.
Two of our popular dental treatments in preparation for a wedding are Invisalign® - an advanced teeth-straightening treatment that has the advantage of being practically invisible - and professional teeth whitening, to leave you with a whiter and brighter smile.
If COVID-19 resulted in an unfortunate delay for your wedding day, now is the perfect time to book in a cosmetic dental treatment and ensure your smile is as spectacular as can be when the special date rolls around.
Invisalign® is a set of clear, custom-moulded aligners that gradually move your teeth into their ideal position. With a little forward planning, Invisalign® can help you achieve a picture-perfect smile for when you walk down the aisle.
Invisalign®’s custom-made aligners offer a wide range of benefits that make them a great treatment option for the lead-up to your wedding. The virtually-invisible clear aligners mean you won’t need to worry about the unwanted visual impact of braces, while the ease of removing them for eating and drinking makes Invisalign® a convenient option for those pre-wedding activities - like tasting the wedding menu or enjoying a glass of champagne at your hens!
Here are some of the reasons why soon-to-be brides and grooms may want to opt for Invisalign® in preparation for their wedding:
Depending on the nature of your condition, the entire Invisalign® treatment can take between six and 18 months, so getting started as early as possible will ensure a perfectly-straight smile on your big day.

If you’re concerned about your teeth looking stained, dull or discoloured on your big day - or if you’d simply like a whiter smile for all those wedding pictures - professional teeth whitening offers a fast, safe and convenient way to brighten your smile.
A beautifully white smile on your wedding day will have you beaming with confidence at your guests and smiling proudly for the camera at every opportunity. And the good news is, it’s easy to achieve a brighter smile with professional teeth whitening.
Teeth whitening is designed to improve the colour of teeth that have become stained or discoloured. This can occur for a number of reasons, including drinking lots of caffeine, sugary drinks, red wine or tea, smoking, or taking certain medications.
Professional teeth whitening, either performed in a dental practice or using a take-home kit provided by your dentist, is also a much safer option than many of the DIY teeth whitening products available on the market.
You can choose to have your teeth whitened as an in-chair procedure at the dental practice, or using a takeaway teeth whitening kit that you apply at home. (Not all these options are available in every dental practice, so check with your dentist).
We offer three different types of professional teeth whitening:
Zoom™ Teeth Whitening
Zoom™ whitening treatment uses a specially-formulated gel that is applied to your teeth. When exposed to ultraviolet light, the active ingredients in the gel are able to break down years’ worth of stains and lighten your tooth enamel.
Zoom™ can be undertaken at the dental practice in a one-hour visit, during which the gel is applied every 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, opt for an at-home treatment which can give you the same results in just one to two weeks (depending on the concentration of the gel and how long you apply it for).
BriteSmile® Teeth Whitening
BriteSmile® is a popular in-chair teeth whitening treatment that can significantly improve the appearance of your teeth.
After a routine clean, your dentist will apply the whitening gel to your teeth and use the BriteSmile® light to activate the gel. This is normally repeated three times in a visit and you’ll notice an immediate improvement.
