All Defence Health members attending National Dental Care Group practices will not be charged any out of pocket expenses on a range of preventative dental treatments such as examinations, consultations, and scale and cleans.

FAQ

Can I visit a National Dental Care Group practice?

Yes, as National Dental Care Group is part of the Defence Health preferred provider network, members with extras cover will save up to 15% off the usual dental fees when you visit one of our practices (This includes consultations, comprehensive and periodic oral examinations, scale and cleans, removal of plaque and/or stains, removal of calculus, plus one subsequent appointment). And with Premier, Value or Top Extras – or the ADF Total Package Gold – members receive a “No-Gap” annual check-up and clean (limited to one per financial year, or two per financial year for Premier Extras and ADF Total Package).


How do I avoid any surprise expenses?

At National Dental Care Group, we try to make the process as simple and understandable as possible. We put all treatment plans in writing, which you may take to your health insurer to enquire about benefits you’re entitled to. This means you have the information you need to consider your budget, before proceeding with any treatments. We appreciate finances can play a big role in dental care and we offer various payment options, including our very own Smile Fund, which gives you the ability to treat now and pay in weekly, fortnightly, or monthly installments.


Invisalign® - is it covered by my health insurance?

In most cases, health insurance providers can offer some form of cover for Orthodontics, but this could be under a lifetime limit or other limitations. We advise that you contact your provider directly and ask them about the benefits of your cover.


Are there any waiting periods?

We recommend that you consult with your current health fund in regards to the waiting periods that you are required to serve. We are more than happy to provide any details such as dental item numbers if your health fund requires them.
