I have been interested in Oral Health for many years, working as a Dental Assistant for 13 years before completing a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Newcastle in 2011. Since then, I have been consistently in practice as a dental Hygienist. I have pursued further study since completing my degree, including obtaining a Diploma of photo imaging, completing the Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia (Queensland Branch) Continuing Professional Development courses and the Platinum Professional Development Hygiene program.
Before joining the team at National Dental Care, I had gained experience in a private practice in Northern Rivers, and Government dental. I have come to particularly enjoy working in periodontal dental care, and preventative dentistry. I work hard to present a kind, caring, gentle and thorough attitude to my patients, and the professional and welcoming nature of my current practice makes this easy.
In my spare time, I like to pursue my interest in photography, go to the gym, and spend time with my husband and our dog.

I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science, and since then have pursued my dental education by completing post-graduate studies in Dental Sleep Medicine, and additional study and training in CAD/CAM dentistry and Advanced Implant Restoration. I was the sole owner of a private dental practice in North West Victoria, before joining National Dental Care, Lismore (formerly Star Family Dental) as the Practice Principal/Owner where I have been ever since.
I have always had a long interest in health and working to help people using science, and also my hands. In particular, I am interested in dental sleep medicine, implant restorations, and CAD/CAM crown and bridge dentistry. I believe in placing a strong emphasis on preventative dentistry, and a team based approach incorporating dental auxiliaries and specialists.
As part of the team at National Dental Care, Lismore, I am enjoying the long established relationships with patients and staff, and the relaxed and warm feel of the practice. Personally, I work hard to make sure patients believe I am listening genuinely to their concerns, explaining their treatment options and providing thorough comprehensive dentistry of a high quality in a caring gentle manner.
Outside of the practice, I have been a President of the Australian Dental Association (NSW Far North Coast Branch) and an inaugural member of the Northern Rivers Dental Study Club. I devote time to being involved in Dental Rescue days to help disadvantaged patients.

After graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, I moved to Lismore in 1980 and have been practicing here ever since. Since receiving my degree, I have always maintained a keen interest in continuing dental education, and I am up to date with current treatment in all areas of general dentistry. The importance I place on education flows into my practice, and our whole staff undertake the Prime Practice Course.
I chose to work in dentistry as it seemed to be a good way to help people achieve, and maintain good health. It is very rewarding to be able to get people out of pain at one end of the treatment spectrum and at the other end help benefit their self-image by improving the appearance of their teeth.
We have a large family orientated practice with a very happy staff. We have always made a point of having good, up to date equipment and making sure that we have the training to use it to its full potential.
I graduated from the Queens University in Belfast, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Science. Since then, I have undertaken numerous other courses for continual professional development, as well as becoming a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK).
Before coming to join the National Dental Care team, I gained experience in practices in the UK, Germany, Cairns, Sydney and Northern Rivers. Now, I am enjoying working with such a happy team of staff, and aim to always give a high quality delivery of general family dentistry. I chose dentistry as a career due to my passion for wanting to help people, and I particularly enjoy the creative atmosphere to aspects of dentistry. When working with patients, I strive to be genuine and listen attentively to their individual needs.
When I am not working, I like to keep fit through running, and when I have time I love to go camping, be with my family, and farm. I also devote a significant amount of time to my involvement with kids sports in Casino.
After completing my dental degree from the University of Queensland, I worked in Mildura (lots of oranges) for the community health service and really enjoyed life in a rural town. I enjoy providing accessible and family friendly dentistry for all ages.
I have provided care in all aspects of general dentistry including paediatric and special needs dentistry. I also have an interest in oral surgery. It is very fulfilling for me to help patients with pain and help them achieve a healthier smile.
During my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and engaging the local community. I also enjoy playing video games as many people my age would. I also like cooking and making food from back home - Malaysia.
Wendy graduated from University of Melbourne in 2013, completing a Bachelor of Dental Science with honours. She has worked in a private practice in Singapore, as well as the Gold Coast before joining the team at National Dental Care – Lismore, in 2019.
