Meet the Team Lismore

I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science, and since then have pursued my dental education by completing post-graduate studies in Dental Sleep Medicine, and additional study and training in CAD/CAM dentistry and Advanced Implant Restoration. I was the sole owner of a private dental practice in North West Victoria, before joining National Dental Care, Lismore (formerly Star Family Dental) as the Practice Principal/Owner where I have been ever since.

Dr Amit Sharma, an accomplished general dentist with several decades of experience, possesses a special interest in the field of oral surgery. Dr Amit possesses a wealth of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of dental conditions.

Linda graduated from Griffith University in 2011 where she was awarded the Griffith university medal for academic excellence in her dental degree. She worked in a private practice in Brisbane before joining the team at NDC Lismore in 2017.

Dr Marc Smethurst is a dedicated dental professional who graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Newcastle University, UK, in 2015. He is a respected member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of the Royal College of Edinburgh. He has a wealth of experience from working in various NHS practices across the UK.

After graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, I moved to Lismore in 1980 and have been practicing here ever since. Since receiving my degree, I have always maintained a keen interest in continuing dental education, and I am up to date with current treatment in all areas of general dentistry. The importance I place on education flows into my practice, and our whole staff undertake the Prime Practice Course.

I graduated from the Queens University in Belfast, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Science. Since then, I have undertaken numerous other courses for continual professional development, as well as becoming a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK).

After completing my dental degree from the University of Queensland, I worked in Mildura (lots of oranges) for the community health service and really enjoyed life in a rural town. I enjoy providing accessible and family friendly dentistry for all ages.

Wendy graduated from University of Melbourne in 2013, completing a Bachelor of Dental Science with honours. She has worked in a private practice in Singapore, as well as the Gold Coast before joining the team at National Dental Care – Lismore, in 2019.

As an Oral Health Therapist, Chris Considine strives to provide an oral health service that is both professional and contemporary, with a hint of laughter and fun-loving energy along the way.

I have been interested in Oral Health for many years, working as a Dental Assistant for 13 years before completing a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Newcastle in 2011. Since then, I have been consistently in practice as a dental Hygienist. I have pursued further study since completing my degree, including obtaining a Diploma of photo imaging, completing the Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia (Queensland Branch) Continuing Professional Development courses and the Platinum Professional Development Hygiene program.
