Alison Nguyen
Oral Health Therapist
My name is Alison Nguyen and I graduated from the University of Sydney from the Bachelor of Oral Health in 2016. Upon graduating, I was selected to participate in a program that worked to provide dental treatment and oral health education to Aboriginal communities in Inverell and the surrounding areas.
Not yet wanting to return to Sydney (to the dismay of my parents), I then joined NDC Armidale. I strive to provide my patients with the best and most tailored dental experience, and enjoy working with them to improve and maintain their oral health.
Outside of dental I enjoy watching tv shows, spending time with family and friends, playing with other people’s pets and my newfound interest in photography.
Carol Chambers
Oral Health Therapist
Carol has been working as a Dental Therapist since 1980 and has been providing Myofunctional Orthodontics as a Myofunctional Therapist since 2011. She enjoys every part of her role, particularly managing children’s fears of dentistry and successfully turning them into happy cooperative patients.
Before joining the National Dental Care team in 2008, Carol worked in the Hunter New England Area Health Service and Aboriginal Medical Service in Armidale.
She has flourished in her role as a Dental and Myofunctional Therapist, actively contributing to early orthodontic intervention and she’s achieved impressive outcomes with her unique and gentle treatment methods.
Outside of work, Carol is an avid sports lover and gym attendee. She also likes to read and spend time on her family farm in the Armidale area, but travelling and spending time with her husband and adult children is definitely her favourite hobby.
Dr Sandy Mukherjee
Dentist
Dr Sandy Mukherjee graduated from the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and Research before moving to Australia in 2016 to study Masters of Public Health.
She is passionate about providing her patients with the highest standard of dental care while taking a holistic approach. She has a vision of saving every tooth possible with minimal discomfort. She also prioritises the aesthetic requirements of her patients, utilising technologies like Cerec and Invisalign.
When not at work Dr Sandy likes to go on long drives, exploring new places, hiking and playing tennis. At home she enjoys reading a good book, binge watching a series and trying her hand at cooking different cuisines. She also loves photography and has a keen interest in music and art.
Hey there! I’m Teresa and I’m so excited to have joined the team at NDC Armidale. Having lived most of my life in India, a chance visit to Australia made me fall in love with the place. After graduating as the Best Outgoing Student from Saveetha University (India) in 2014, I successfully passed the Australian Dental Council Exams and there’s been no looking back ever since.
When it comes to dentistry, I enjoy every bit of it. I’m extremely passionate about the aesthetic quotient and I take pride in bringing back a smile to my patients faces. Experiencing what it’s like to be both on and off the dental chair, I understand the importance of gentle dental treatment and being at ease throughout procedures.
When I’m not at work you will find me outside trying new restaurants or at home, binge-watching detective shows. Or not in town at all, as I love travelling to new places!
