I’ve been involved in field of Dentistry more than 20 years. My dental career started as a part time dental nurse when I was a high school student. I continued further study in Dental Hygiene at the Tsurumi Junior College in Japan. After graduation, I worked as a dental hygienist in private practice in Japan. During the time, I had an opportunity to attend dental academic meeting in the US. This broadened my sight worldwide.
I came to Australia to study English, and was fascinated by beautiful nature and people in Australia. I decided to continue my dental career in Australia. I completed my dental study at the University of Queensland in 2008. Since then, I enjoyed working with wonderful colleagues and seeing my lovely patients every day. I am passionate about all aspects of dentistry, and enjoy helping people to overcome their fear at dental surgery. I also enjoy helping small children, elderly patients and patients with special needs, achieving this with gentle and friendly manner.
I regularly attend variety of dental courses to keep updating my knowledge in recent dental technologies, such as 3D dental impression scanner (3 Shape Communicate/ TRIOS). I’m furthering my knowledge in dental aesthetics. It is very rewarding for me to make my patients happy by beautiful smile. I provide variety of aesthetic works such as tooth whitening, veneers, crown and bridges. It is not only aesthetics as well as it must be functional and easy for them to look after. I also provide clear aligner orthodontics (invisalign) to improve their smile and function.
Outside the practice, I spend precious time with my family and friends. I also enjoy gardening and harvesting home grown fruits and vegetables. In spare time, I stretch my muscles by walking, yoga and pilates for better performance at my surgery.
