How does Invisalign® work?
It all starts with your complimentary consultation, where your dental professional will scan your teeth and show you a preview of your potential outcome with Invisalign® treatment.
If you decide to proceed, a series of custom aligners will be created from your scans. You’ll wear each aligner for around 22 hours a day, changing to a new set every few weeks as your teeth gradually move into a more aligned position.
You’ll have regular check-ins to monitor progress and once your treatment is complete, you’ll switch to retainers to help maintain your new smile.

Free Invisalign Consults 2026
Book your free 15-minute Invisalign® consultation at DB South Lake (Consultation). During the Consultation, our dental professionals will:
- discuss your goals;
- provide information about what Invisalign® treatment can do;
- evaluate your teeth condition to consider whether Invisalign® treatment may be suitable for you; and
- if the treatment is deemed to be suitable for you, discuss payment options and provide you with a quote containing an estimated cost for the treatment.
The Consultation also includes:
- Digital Smile Scan & Photos: Advanced imaging techniques to obtain detailed views of your teeth, gums, and jawbone structure.
- Custom Treatment Plan: A tailored plan outlining steps, timeline, and expected outcomes of the Invisalign® process.
- Q&A Session: Have all your questions answered about Invisalign® benefits and what to expect during and after treatment.
Invisalign® treatment involves a series of clear plastic removable orthodontic aligners that gently move your teeth, allowing for a discreet teeth-straightening solution without metal wires.
The Consultation does not check for tooth decay, gum disease or other potential dental concerns. A standard dental check-up, hygiene clean, and x-rays may be required before commencing Invisalign® treatment.

1. You will be required to fill out a medical history form when you attend the DB Dental practice (and prior to your Consultation) to assist the DB dentist’s evaluation. There is no obligation for you to proceed with Invisalign® treatment following the Consultation.
2. If you have private health insurance, it is your responsibility to check with your health fund which portion, if any, of your fee is covered.
3. While we will undertake reasonable endeavours to support you to achieve your desired results, individual responses and individual results vary.
4. Invisalign® is not available for purchase by the general public. It will only be offered following the Consultation set out in this set of T&Cs. You should always read and follow our dentist’s directions for use. In rare cases, allergies may occur.
