Since graduating as a dentist in 2007, I’ve kept up my own professional development over time by completing multiple dental training courses. I like to offer my patients excellence in all aspects of dental care and keep myself up to date with the latest skills and technology. In 2015, I completed the FRACDS examinations and gained the Fellowship in General Practice.
I have a keen interest in restorative dentistry and have recently been improving my skills in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry by studying a Graduate Diploma of Dental Implantology at Charles Stuart University. Apart from applying my studies in the practice, I also enjoy teaching aspiring dental students. Up until recently, I was a clinical supervisor at the James Cook University School of Medicine and Dentistry and this gave me an incredible experience mentoring young students.
I can speak multiple languages such as Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Pashto, to assist with anyone who feels more comfortable speaking their native tongue. When I’m not in the dental practice you’ll find me playing or watching cricket, and spending time with my family.

After graduating a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1988 at the University of Queensland, I started my dental career working in rural areas of Queensland in both Private and Government Clinics. In 1992 I moved to America to continue my professional development, completing a dual course at the Temple University. I graduated in 1995 with a master of science in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Endodontics.
I then opened and ran my own private practice in Bangkok. With my profound interested in Endodontics, I also took an opportunity to lecture and be a Clinical Adviser for post graduates at Universities in Bangkok.
Recently moving back to Brisbane, so my son could complete his senior schooling, I started working at National Dental Care Springfield.
I am fluent in Thai and English. When I’m not in the dental practice you’ll find me playing squash, mowing the lawn or being my son’s chauffeur!
Dr Lavery graduated from the University of Queensland as a dentist in 1997. I obtained a Bachelor in Dental Science in 2004 from one of the most renowned universities in Brazil—the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. I gained six years experience in a private practice in Brazil, before moving to Bendigo in Victoria in 2010 with my husband.
I practiced at the Bendigo Health Hospital until 2013, and I joined the Algester Dental team in 2014. I am currently a member of the Australian Dental Association and attend Continuing Professional courses.

He have special interest in oral surgery and dental implants and when he's not in dental practice, you will find him reading history books or playing with his children.
After graduating from the University of Otago in 2001 with a Bachelor of Dental Science, I set out on a great adventure, experiencing both work and life in New Zealand and areas of Australia. In 2006, I relocated to Sydney and started my own dental practice in the Sydney CBD. I enjoyed my years there, building strong relationships with my patients, however the demands of my young family saw us relocating to Brisbane to find a better work/life balance.
I have since then enjoyed being a Brisbane local, and have loved being a part of National Dental Care’s growing family of caring and passionate clinicians.
I enjoy all aspects of dental care, from simple fillings to ceramic fillings and crowns, endodontics treatment and restoration of implants. I am continually humbled and grateful that I am able to do what I love every day. My passion for helping people gain/re-gain control of their own health seems to grow with every patient interaction!
