DB Dental, Currambine, is a warm and welcoming practice with a sophisticated and modern feel. We offer a wide range of services from cosmetic to general dentistry including quality dentures, endodontic treatments and oral surgery. We offer specific and tailored dental treatments for each patient according to their needs and desires.
We offer state of the art equipment, technology and dental services for the whole family. From grandparents to their great grandchildren, we love to have different generations coming through our practice.
Our staff at DB Dental, Currambine, always make an effort to keep up to date with the latest dental trends and innovations so we can provide you with the best possible dental care, and we have preferred provider status with most major health funds.

Colleen graduated from the Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the University of Western Australia in 2021. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and aiding patients in achieving excellent oral health! Dr Westerman enjoys working with children and patients with dental anxiety making them feel comfortable in the dental chair.
Dr Westermans patient centered approach allows patients to feel comfortable expressing concerns as well as working together to achieve their goals. She participates in ongoing professional development courses to ensure she is up to date on the latest dental technologies and techniques to provide the best care to her patients.
In her free time Colleen enjoys spending time with friends, visiting the beautiful beaches around Perth and finding new spots to snorkel! Scuba Diving and yoga are two hobbies that Colleen is passionate about and enjoys on her days off.
Dr Gurpreet Virdee
Dentist
Dr Virdee, after completing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Manipal University in India, registered in Australia and completed the extensive Australian Dental Council examinations. She also registered in Kenya where she had the opportunity to work in a government hospital and rural camps to help people that did not have access to, or could afford, treatment.
In 2013 Dr Virdee immigrated to Australia for a lifestyle change and has been with DB Dental ever since. She has extensive work experience in all aspects of dentistry from general and children’s dentistry, to preventative, cosmetic, crowns and bridges, teeth whitening and extractions.
Dr Virdee prides herself on making sure her patients feel comfortable, looked after and at ease throughout their procedures. She also likes working with children and trying to make their trip to the dentist fun and exciting. Speaking Kiswahili, Punjabi and Hindi, she can cater for people who’s first language isn’t English.
Outside the dental clinic you’ll either find her in the kitchen cooking, travelling to explore new places, camping, or spoiling her two little fur babies.
Dr Joshua Robertson

Dr Joshua Robertson graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Glasgow in 2019 and, after 3 years of working in general practice in Scotland, recently relocated to WA.
Dr Robertson has a broad experience in all aspects of general dentistry - from preventative and children’s dentistry to fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions and teeth whitening. He enjoys helping patients and providing these treatments in a relaxed, comfortable environment.
In his free time, you’ll usually find him keeping active, attempting to play golf or exploring WA.
After qualifying as a technician in 1991, Karine went travelling and met her husband in Canada where she stayed until returning to Australia in 1999. She worked as a Dental Technician in labs around Perth until opening her own lab in 2005.
In 2009 she went back to studying to complete her Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetics, and in 2012 she joined DB Dental as a Dental Prosthetist. She continues to manufacture her patient’s dentures in her own lab. This benefits her patients as it offers a more personalised denture experience.
Karine has also completed the “Construct and Insert Implant Retained Overdentures” course with RMIT University in Melbourne which broadens her scope of practise to include the option of Implant retained overdentures.
Dr Paria Faramini
Dentist
Dr Paria Faramini achieved a Doctor of dental Science (DDS) in 2005 in Iran and certificate of General Dentistry from the Australian dental Council.
Paria has been working in various private dental practices around Perth and Sydney, and is committed to continue learning with a view of being able offer the best possible levels of care to her patients by keeping abreast of the latest developments in her field. Dr Faramini practices all aspects of dentistry and enjoys caring for patients of all ages.
In her time away from the dental chair, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. They love travelling, camping and playing soccer.
Dr Vaish Gopalakrishnan
Paediatric Dentist
Dr Vaish Gopalakrishnan completed her dentistry in 2007 and knew straightaway she wanted to work with children. She worked at a Paediatric dental practice for a year before she moved to Hong Kong to pursue her Masters in Dental surgery (Paediatric dentistry) from the prestigious University of Hong Kong dental school. In 2011, she moved to Australia and in 2013 joined the Doctor in Clinical dentistry, Paediatric dentistry program offered through UWA to pursue further post graduate training in paediatric dentistry.
In the 18 months of this training she worked at the Princess Margaret hospital dental department, attended emergency on calls, was actively involved in management of new-born babies with cleft lip and palate and the cleft clinic, along with management of medically compromised children while also seeing to patients at the Oral health centre of WA. She completed her Membership exams in paediatric dentistry with the Royal Australian college of dental surgeons. She has also briefly worked in the School dental service and at the new Perth Children’s Hospital dental department.
Dr Vaish is passionate about working with children and this is obvious in the way she handles them, she is patient and caring with the anxious little ones and believes her most important job is to give each child a positive experience and let them grow into happy dental patients! She goes out of her way to help parents understand the needs of the child and make them comfortable with the plan.
Dr Vaish consults at our Cottesloe, Currambine and Baldivis practices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. She also treats patients who need a general anaesthetic through Southbank Day Surgery.
In her spare time, she is a busy mom of two and loves spending time with her children, cooking and is working on her gardening skills!
