Dr Rod Wills
Dr Rod Wills started his dental practice in the Central Business District of Sydney in the early 1970’s. He has been in the one continuous practice since then.
During this time, Dr Wills has observed a continuing change in the type of dental care requested by patients along with amazing technological advances in delivering this care.
It is this continuing change in the demographics of his practice and the evolving technology that keeps Dr Wills highly motivated and passionate about his profession.
With a vast majority of the community wanting to keep their teeth looking and functioning at their absolute best, Dr Wills saw the need to develop a high degree of skill to meet these treatment requirements.
Over the past two decades, Dr Wills has devoted his professional energy into developing a sound business model for his practice along with a rigorous post-graduate and professional development program.
Dr Wills’ main interests lie in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. He is a member of The Australian Dental Association, a member of The Australian Prosthodontic Society, a member of The International and Australian Society of Periodontology, a member of The Australian Osseointegration Society and a member of The Cerec ( Computerised Restorative Dentistry) Study Club.
In recent years Dr Wills attended The Advanced Continuing Education Institute in Italy to study the most up to date treatments in the field of Aesthetic Rehabilitation Dentistry. He formed a small International Study Group with his classmates from that programme. They meet at the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Congress each year to listen to the World’s experts deliver the latest and most up to date information in this challenging field of Dentistry.
Dr Nadine Samir
Dr Samir completed her Dental degree in 1987 at Sydney University and graduated with the prize for Proficiency in Orthodontics. She has practiced dentistry in several locations in Sydney and Canberra before settling at CBD Dental in 1995.
For Dr Samir, a dentist’s main role is care of their patients. This encompasses not only treatment of dental issues but doing so with the highest degree of compassion, always providing a comfortable environment and the latest standard of treatments. Dr Samir puts much time and effort into understanding each patient’s concerns and has invested much time in learning about pain-free methods of delivering treatment.
Dr Samir is committed to providing her patients with the best dental care. This involves keeping abreast of the latest treatments and techniques which are continuously developing, as well as carrying out this treatment with a high degree of skill and an eye for aesthetics. Dr Samir’s education in dentistry will thus be ongoing as long as she is in practice. She has also formed a network with some of Sydney’s best specialists and ceramists to offer her patients an overall excellent outcome.
Dr Samir has focused her team on making each patient feel the care and excellence that they aim to provide, whether new to the practice or a long term patient. Her own very genuine nature shines through every interaction with patients and staff alike. Our most rewarding feedback has been having a number of patients liken a visit to our practice to that of a 5 star hotel.
Dr Chris Karikios
“We constantly strive for better.”
This is the simple statement that Dr Chris Karikios applies to his dental practice. Whether it be through the use of technology, continuing education or from patient feedback.
Dr Chris Karikios has lived in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs all his life. After attending Sydney Boys High, he graduated from Sydney University in 1987 and has worked in Sydney ever since.
Dr Chris Karikios’s prime area of interest is in the use of virtual reality design in clinical dentistry, primarily with the CEREC system – a facet of dentistry which he and his staff constantly refine with continuing education.
In his spare time Chris enjoys water activities particularly surfing – a passion that he shares with his wife and two children.
