Dr. Patrick Dohring
Dentist | B.D.Sc (Qld)
I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland in 1996. Since then, I have made a point of attending numerous courses and keeping up with modern dentistry innovations. I have had vast experience throughout my career, working in government clinics, private practices, and in the UK. I am highly competent in all aspects of dentistry and pride myself on the results I produce. I have a particular interest in restorative dentistry and endodontics. I chose to become a dentist with the aim of providing quality care to my patients. Currently, I am enjoying working with a great team at National Dental Care, Gladstone, and like the professional atmosphere of our practice. I also devote time to being the President of the Australian Dental Association Gladstone Sub-Branch. I like to spend my spare time with my family, and I love all outdoor activities, especially fishing — I am an avid fisherman.
Oral Health Therapist
I have been in the dental industry for 11 years now and have loved every moment of it! I began working in dentistry purely because I like helping people especially helping people overcome their fear of the dentist.
Working in both general and specialist practices has supplied me with a wealth of knowledge. My strengths lie in periodontal therapy, orthodontics, paediatric dentistry and treating nervous patients. As I have a wider scope of practice, I am able to perform examinations and fillings on adults.
I pride myself on giving my patients a unique dental experience. I aim to provide the most comfortable, positive and thorough dental visit they have had. You may even catch me dancing and singing in the surgery!
When I’m not busy looking after my wonderful patients, I enjoy going on adventures with my darling husband and spoiling my fur babies. I am so excited to be coming home to Central Queensland and thrilled to be joining the team at National Dental Care.
Oral Health Therapist
Studying Dental Therapy, I graduated from QUT in 1997 and then went on to graduate from University of Queensland with an updated grade in 2001.
I have been in the dental industry for 28 years working in QLD Health, Private Practice and now at National Dental Care. During that time I have worked 10 years as a Dental Assistant, 18 years as a Dental Therapist and 13 years as a Oral Health Therapist.
Having always wanted to work in the medical/dental field I started as a Dental Assistant after finishing school and progressed from there. I pride myself on being friendly individual with empathy and care for my patients.
I enjoy both the dental therapy and oral hygiene areas of dentistry and especially like working with children.
I’ve been a Gladstone local for 17 years and enjoy swimming, scrapbooking and being a mum to my 2 beautiful children.
Dr Lidija Lakic
Dentist | BDS (UOQ) Hons
I graduated in 2008 with an honours degree in Dentistry from the University of Queensland. Very quickly I found myself immersed in rural country practice enjoying the community spirit and wonderful natural surrounds Australia has to offer. My focus is very much excellence in general dental practice, with a passion for prevention and high quality treatment. After 7 years of work, I took 3 years off to travel around the world for both pleasure and work and now return to settle down with the lovely team at Gladstone. My interests are general restorative dentistry, crown and bridge work and dental extractions. I chose to become a dentist for the purpose of becoming more conscious enough to take control of my own well-being, and of course I now enjoying sharing this wisdom with the people that entrust me with their dental concerns. In my spare time I enjoy reading, the great outdoors, cooking healthy food and travelling. I truly believe that dental health is key to overall health and would love to contribute positively to yours.
