Dr. Robert Dewhurst
Dentist | B.D.S. (Syd) Dip Clin Dent (Implants)
Born and raised in Armidale, I chose to study dentistry at the University of Sydney, where I completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Implants). Since then, I have grown in passion for exploring the way teeth and oral structures relate to overall body well being.
This passion has taken me all over the world, pursuing what I see as a lifelong journey of finding answers. I have studied the latest philosophies and research on sleep medicine, headaches, jaw joint pain and dysfunction, and orthodontics and facial development, as well as reconstructive dentistry and Implants.
Today, I am a credited senior lecturer of the International Association of Orthodontics and am an active member in numerous associations and societies, as well as practicing dentistry with the National Dental Care team.
I love spending my spare time with my four sons, and applying my desire for perfection to a love of archery.
Dr. Faraz Hedayat Seresht
Dentist | DDS
I have completed many post graduate courses and have wide experience in general dentistry with a particular interest in oral surgery and implants. Before migrating to Australia and completing my Australian registration requirements, I worked in my own practice for 14 years. I have an interest in soccer and have two children. I look forward to meeting new patients and experiencing my first Armidale winter!
Dental Therapist | Dip Dent Th, Grad Dip OHP
I have been working as a Dental Therapist since 1980, and have enjoyed every part. I worked in the Hunter New England Area Health Service and Aboriginal Medical Service in Armidale, before joining the National Dental Care team at Dewhurst Dental Practice in 2008.
Since then, I have flourished in my role as their Dental Therapist and am heavily involved in the treatment of early orthodontic intervention. I am highly trained in the specialty of Oral Facial Myology, and have been seeing amazing results with my unique and gentle treatments.
I really enjoy managing children’s fears of dentistry and successfully turning them into happy cooperative patients.
I love my sports, especially when my daughter and son play. I also love to read, but spending time with my family is definitely my favourite hobby!
Oral Health Therapist | BOH (SYD)
My name is Alison and I graduated from the University of Sydney from the Bachelor of Oral Health in 2016. Upon graduating, I was selected to participate in a program that worked to provide dental treatment and oral health education to Aboriginal communities in Inverell and the surrounding areas.
Not yet wanting to return to Sydney (to the dismay of my parents), I then joined NDC Armidale. I strive to provide my patients with the best and most tailored dental experience, and enjoy working with them to improve and maintain their oral health.
Outside of dental I enjoy watching tv shows, spending time with family and friends, playing with other people’s pets and my newfound interest in photography.
Dentist | BDS (INDIA)
Hey there! I’m Teresa and I’m so excited to have joined the team at NDC Armidale. Having lived most of my life in India, a chance visit to Australia made me fall in love with the place. After graduating as the Best Outgoing Student from Saveetha University (India) in 2014, I successfully passed the Australian Dental Council Exams and there’s been no looking back ever since.
When it comes to dentistry, I enjoy every bit of it. I’m extremely passionate about the aesthetic quotient and I take pride in bringing back a smile to my patients faces. Experiencing what it’s like to be both on and off the dental chair, I understand the importance of gentle dental treatment and being at ease throughout procedures. When I’m not at work you will find me outside trying new restaurants or at home, binge-watching detective shows. Or not in town at all, as I love travelling to new places!
Oral Health Therapist | BOH (Syd Uni)
Thao graduated from Bachelor of Medical Science at University of Technology, Sydney in 2011 and from Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Sydney in 2015. After finishing her studies in Oral Health, she was selected to participate in the graduate program which focused on the delivery of preventative dental services and creating oral health programs to rural Aboriginal communities. As a result, she was placed in Inverell where she has since established a close relationship with the community and growth fond of the country life so has decided to remain.
Outside of dentistry she enjoys travelling, photography and spending time with friends and family.
