Rugby mouthguards: Are they worth it?
Rugby is one of Australia’s most popular sports, but every year dentists see spikes of patients who experience injuries that can result in serious conditions requiring oral surgery. This year, our National Dental Care Darwin and Palmerston teams are encouraging players to take preventative measures. A simple visit to the dentist now, to have a mouthguard fitted, could save you money and time in the future.
Do I really need a dentist-fitted mouthguard…?
The mouthguards you receive from our National Dental Care team are custom fitted to you. This means a mould is taken of your teeth and the mouthguard is made specifically for you in a laboratory.
This gives you teeth more support, so if you do come head to head in a collision, our objective is to make sure you are as well protected as you can be.
What will it cost?
We understand price is a consideration, so to encourage Rugby players to get their mouthguards before the season starts we are offering No-Gap Mouthguards for any patient with health insurance dental extras! That means the entire fitting and mouthguard will not cost you a cent out of pocket.
What if you don’t have health insurance?
We will offer any patients who don’t have health insurance dental extras, a discounted price of $130.00.
*These prices are valid for children and adults. They are valid for any health insurance with dental extras. They are not offered in conjunction with any other offer or discount and can be withdrawn at the discretion of the National Dental Care Darwin and Palmerston practices offering this deal.
