Restorative responses - Tweed Heads Dentist - National Dental Care

Many people ask our experienced team at National Dental Care Tweed Heads about restorative techniques. Whether you have missing teeth or want to improve existing natural teeth, we can help. Talk to us about our range of solutions from dental crowns to inlays and bridges. Our dentists are dedicated to bringing the best and latest technologies, techniques and materials to our patients which is why we offer CEREC, otherwise known as ceramic restoration.

A single visit

The beauty of CEREC is its convenience and speed. It’s an attractive option for anybody short of time.  The process uses sophisticated CAD/CAM technology (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing), so dentist can produce crowns from a single ceramic block in a single visit.

Three steps

The first step is a digital impression to shape your dental crowns. Next, your dentist designs your restoration using the CAD technology. Your dental crowns are then manufactured at your Tweed Heads practice.

A better process

Conventional impression processes take up to three weeks to complete and use messy moulding materials. The CEREC process is more environmentally friendly and convenient. The total process takes just a couple of hours.

CEREC also gives our dentists more control over the restoration process.

Strength matters

Your CEREC dental crowns are custom-moulded and fitted, giving you a natural-looking result. First any decay and old filling materials are removed and your teeth are scanned. Then a new CEREC crown is milled and bonded to your natural teeth. Your new dental crown supports and strengthens your tooth’s structure.
