Liz Zeoli - National Dental Care

Liz Zeoli

Dental Hygienist

I graduated in 2005 from TAFE SA Gilles Plains College with a Diploma of Dental Hygiene, and since then have undertaken a whitening course to further my dental education. Before coming to South Terrace Dental Care, I worked at the Adelaide Periodontal and Implant Professionals, Belair Dental Care, the Port Dental Care and Glenelg Dental Care.

I chose to become a dentist because I like helping and educating people. I find the body really interesting; everybody is different with different needs and wants.
I enjoy impression taking for mouthguards, nightguards, bleaching trays, and working with children to start them off with good education and dental experiences so they enjoy coming to the dentist and have no fear about their dental journey for the rest of their lives. I enjoy being involved in the Invisalign process—the transformations are amazing, and it inspires me to believe everyone can have teeth they love. A good clean can also be an amazing transformation. I love that clean smooth feeling of teeth without the bacterial build up and the way the body has the ability to be a self-healing machine. I love seeing the gums improve in colour, consistency and reduce the symptoms for the patient.

At my current practice, I love the staff—everyone is friendly and welcoming. We are like a family. We accept people for who they are and encourage each other to be the best we can be. Continuing education is encouraged and always been an important part of practice beliefs.
I work hard to give gentle yet thorough cleans, taking the time to listen to the patient so I can form a strong relationship and see how their dental, and even non-dental, journeys are going.

In my spare time, I attend dance/ballet and pilates exercise classes, and enjoy gardening, home renovations, and reading murder mysteries and thrillers.

I am of Italian heritage with half of my family living in Italy; I know basic Italian. I have a rabbit called Midi, am a crows supporter, and will be married later in 2015.
I used to be a function DJ and volunteered at FreshFM (the community radio station).
I am a Member of the Hygiene Association, member of the Australian Periodontology Society,
was a dental nurse for an oral surgeon before coming a hygienist so I have my certificate in dental assisting
