New Patient Experience
Once you arrive at the practice you will be greeted by our friendly staff and asked to fill in our New Patient Form. It is important for us to collect this information not only for your health but also to gain an understanding of your previous dental experiences and treatment.
You will then meet one of our hygienists. They will undertake a soft tissue screening and a full mouth clean to ensure your dentist has a clear view of all teeth free of plaque and calculus. They are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and the prevention of tooth decay. You will be seeing either Chris or Lyndal as part of your continuing care program. This ongoing maintenance is imperative to ensure your decay risk is low and your gums are healthy. This will take about 45 minutes of your time.
You will then meet with your dentist for 30 minutes to discuss in detail your needs and requirements. In the treatment room your dentist conducts a comprehensive examination including digital x-rays and review of teeth and all soft tissues. After exam completion any required treatment is discussed and a plan created containing costs and health fund codes.
