Michael Alscher - Chairman of the Board

(TBC) Michael Alscher serves as Chairman of the Board of National Dental Care Pty Ltd. He is the Managing Partner and founder of Crescent Capital Partners, a leading Australian based private equity firm with $2 billion in funds under management, specialising in high growth companies and certain industries such as healthcare and the services sector across multiple disciplines. Prior to founding Crescent in 2000, Michael was a strategy consultant at Bain International and the LEK Partnership as well as holding several senior operating roles. Michael is also currently a Non-Executive Director of ClearView Limited and the Non-Executive Chair of Cardno Limited, Australian Clinical Labs, National Home Doctor Service, and Crumpler. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Mathematics) from the University of New South Wales.




Gordon Towell - Non-Executive Director

With over 30 years’ experience in the health, technology, and media sectors, Gordon has built up a broad range of global business experience. Gordon has particular expertise and experience within the Australian dental industry, most recently leading National Dental Care as CEO for over 5 years before transitioning into a non-executive Director position in January 2020.

Prior to his role as CEO of National Dental Care, Gordon held both executive and non-executive roles with “blue chip” companies including; Executive Director of Dental Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bupa; Non-Executive Chairman of AIMEDICS – developer and manufacturer of Type 1 diabetes nocturnal hypoglycaemia monitoring devices; CEO of IBS Automotive – global leader in automotive software systems; Non-Executive Chairman of Dynamic Hearing Pty Ltd; Non-Executive Director of Netregistry, Australia’s largest provider of domain names; Group CEO of the GEON Group; Managing Director of Granada Business Technology; and Managing Director of the Compel Group PLC.




Craig Stevens - Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer

Craig Stevens is a seasoned Health Care Executive with global experience across a number of Health Industry sectors. Most recently responsible for Amplifon Group’s operations in Asia Pacific as Executive Vice President, Craig oversaw the Groups’ expansion into China in addition to its operations in Australia, New Zealand, and India. As a member of the Global Executive Leadership Team, Craig also was involved in wider Group Strategy development and implementation. Prior to this, Craig held the position of General Manager of Amplifon Germany between 2014 and 2017, as well as General Manager of Amplifon UK between July 2015 and January 2017. Before joining Amplifon Group, Craig held various positions in General and Operations Management, as well as Business Development roles in various Health Care sectors including Radiology and Radiation Oncology, in both the Private and Public Sectors. Craig holds an MBA from the University of Adelaide, a Degree in Health Service Management from Flinders University of South Australia, and is a graduate of the Advanced General Management Program of IESE University in Barcelona.




Nathaniel Thompson - Non-executive Director

(TBC) Nathaniel Thomson is a Partner at Crescent Capital Partners Ltd. and at Crescent Capital Partners Management Pty Ltd. He is also on the Board of Directors at Cardno Ltd., Cardno TEC, Inc., ClearView Wealth Ltd., Clearview Ltd. and National Medical Services Group Pty Ltd. He has over 20 years’ experience in strategy consulting, private equity and banking. Nathaniel was previously employed as a Deputy Chairman by Cover-More Group Ltd., a Deputy Chairman by Cover-More Insurance Services Pty Ltd., a Consultant by McKinsey & Co., Inc., and a Non-Executive Director by Metropolitan Glass & Glazing Ltd.He also served on the board at NHC Group Pty Ltd., LifeHealthcare Group Ltd., Metro Performance Glass Ltd. and Nude by Nature Pty Ltd. He received his BComm (Hons) and LlB (Hons) degree from The University of Western Australia.




Dr Antony Benedetto - Non-executive Director

CAC Chairman, Dr Antony Benedetto, guides the committee as they regularly share advice on patient needs and clinical direction to National Dental Care’s executive team. Antony, a lead dentist at National Dental Care Erina, believes the Clinical Advisory Committee provides vital clinician input to senior management as well as reassurance to dentists that patient outcomes are at the forefront of organisational planning. Antony obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney and undertook further studies with an implant course in Cambodia and an exchange program in Japan. He has practised as a dentist for the past decade in Tamworth, Taree, and the Central Coast. Antony has also completed many Continuing Professional Development courses, with a particular interest in CAD/CAM digital dentistry. Antony enjoys helping people and finds solving their dental problems very satisfying. He performs a wide range of dental treatments, which means patients can have most of their concerns addressed in-house.

Mark Fisher - Company Secretary / Chief Financial Officer

Mark Fisher manages finance, information technology, procurement, acquisitions, settlement, legal, and facilities for National Dental Care. Mark leads strategic planning for future development with input from both the commercial and management sides of the business. Mark has two decades of experience in international finance and capital markets in Australia and London. He was senior director at Credit Suisse in Australia, advising on strategic reviews and capital management on over $50 billion of successful transactions. In UBS in London, he had oversight of healthcare franchises in France, Germany, and Switzerland. He moved to Australia with KPMG in 2011. Mark has collaborative relationships with the executive and management teams, and is accessible to all staff on operational matters. He sees management and executive roles as support and connectivity for the much-larger practice side of the business, which provides revenue generation.
